New music: discover new songs from Q1 2025
From Sia, Inhaler, Lyrah, The Weeknd, and more
New music tends to trickle out slowly at the beginning of any year so I’m rounding up a few month’s worth of songs.
Lyrah - “Meet Me at the Bottom”
An electronic bop
Inhaler - Open Wide
The album is a masterclass in steady, cohesive rock ‘n roll—from start to finish. It’s hard to pick one favorite, but “Billy” and “Again” are probably the immediate standouts.
Denison Witmer - Anything At All
Denison Witmer’s typical soft-spoken acoustic songs are infused with some whimsy thanks to Sufjan Stevens co-producing.
Sia - “Solsbury Hill”
A fun cover of a classic song.
The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow
The Weeknd continues to put out some fantastic ethereal electronic music. The latest album is no exception.
Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, Gracie Abrams - “Call Me When You Break Up”
This new Selena Gomez album might be the pop album to watch out for this year.
